If you feel that you have done something wrong, been unjust or unfair to someone would you ask for their forgiveness? Or would you just start being nice to that person, and try to act as though nothing happened? Some people find it very difficult to humble themselves and apologize, on the other hand there are some people who say sorry as thoughtlessly as they breathe. We should be somewhere in the middle of these people. Someone that finds it extremely difficult to apologize probably won’t. Also, saying sorry too much, will lose the meaning of the word. “Sorry” isn’t just a word, if it was, it would be very easy to simply say it. People would probably be careless and sin a lot more often, and then say sorry right away. Actually meaning it from our hearts, feeling regretful and changing our ways is the true purpose behind apologizing. Humbling yourself and feeling regret will help insure that it won’t happen again! After asking forgiveness from the one you wronged, ask Allah to forgive you. Always keep in mind, the one who is truly strong is the one who faces their mistakes.
